I have created a second “Joe Bird,” this time it is a northern cardinal – the State Bird of NC. The first “Joe Birds” piece is a watercolor of two eastern bluebirds over a cup of coffee, which I scanned and then added the Cup A Joe coffee shop logo digitally. I did the same with the new “Joe Cardinal” version. These are digital works only. (I am considering using the originals with other logos, so the originals are not for sale.) You can find both of these as 5×7 blank notecards at Cup A Joe on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. They’re self-serve: Just grab one from the box and use the QR code to Venmo me your payment.
