Bluebirds are very popular and very common around here. For a long time Eastern Bluebirds were endangered by invasive house sparrows and European starlings. Successful conservation efforts have brought this bird back in the US.

You can easily attract eastern bluebirds to your Triangle area yard with dried mealworms on a platform or a specialized bluebird feeder. Be patient, because it can take a long time for the local bluebirds to find and explore your feeder.

Bluebird houses are readily available and easy to make, but take the time to learn about proper placement or you might wind up supporting house wrens instead of bluebirds!

My original watercolor is on 8×10” paper, so bigger than any of my previous bluebird paintings. Ask me about prints, notecards, and postcards of this one.
